"If anybody has any questions about anything..." But Toby in Human Resources is left speechless when Dwight takes this "anything" offer too literally..! Toby is my favourite character on this show. That priceless facial expression cracks me up every time. 1st class performance by Paul Lieberstein - he makes Toby truly seem like a bewildered 'real life' participant in this 'documentary'...
OK... After being a hardened fan of the original British series, I tentatively began to watch the US version.. The Pilot episode .. hmm .. so-so.. I was actually thinking, "Well, it follows the British series so much to the letter, it will be like watching an identical remake .. what's the point?" But thankfully, I gave the second episode a chance ("Diversity Day" was just too tempting a title to resist!). It soon branched out to grow its own unique American 'identity', with subtle character differences (although, to be honest, I still have to keep reminding myself this is set in the States. I've never watched a US series with such a British 'environment', it definitely keeps the Jervais-Merchant spirit).
And so I kept watching, and there were moments where I laughed out loud until my sides hurt! Within 24 hours I had progressed contentedly to Season 2, Episode 9, "Email Surveillance" - and the first 50 seconds had me in stitches, rewinding and watching again and again like a loon! I have uploaded the clip to my YouTube account and included it here for your pleasure.
Just to introduce the clip: Michael looks out of the window one fine sunny morning only to be horrified...and decides he must act quickly, to save the lives of his colleagues ...
This clip from Kubrick's "Dr Strangelove" is funny on so many levels I can't even begin to review it properly. ..
In this clip, President Muffley (Peter Sellers) gives the Soviet leader "Dmitri" an informal buzz on the phone, and attempts to break some 'bad news' in as 'friendly' a manner as possible..! I can't describe it - you simply have to watch it and see for yourself.
I will also post this on my Italian blog as I am so desperate to get this..
I am a "Lost" fan, and this is one of my fav clips - where Juliet tries to distract herself from her imprisonment by forcing a smile and immersing herself in Petula Clark's "Downtown". While searching for it online, I accidentally found the Italian version of Lost - and had no idea that there was actually a version of "Downtown" made by Petula Clark especially for Italian fans, called "Ciao Ciao".
I have searched desperately for it, and so far only found a version that was 'remixed' (which I don't like). The version from this clip - it's the one I'm after. If anyone has it, please let me know!
After creating a numbered-map of the female erogenous zones, Monica uses her own special navigation system to guide Chandler on the perfect ****
And I am not referring to the adorable Woody Harrelson nor the comic genius Woody Allen - I am talking about this:
A few days ago I actually washed up in the kitchen, and while I was doing so I noticed my housemate had bought a pink coloured bottle of Fairy washing-up liquid. I gave it a sniff and was suddenly transported back about 12 years. Woody's! Pink Grapefruit! OMG I had almost forgotten!
After reminiscing on my alco-popping teenage years, I realized that this was probably my favourite ever drink - Woody's Pink Grapefruit. I could easily have gone through 10 of these guys in one evening .. aahh, those were the days...!
Anyway, if anyone from the UK knows where I could order these or import them if necessary, please drop me a line!
